Kia Motors Welcome Dinner and Awards Ceremony

This was a welcome dinner and award ceremony for the delegates of the Kia Middle East & Africa Distributors Convention. The event was held in the Ballroom of the Table Bay Hotel in the Waterfront.

We provided two plasma screens in the reception area to display the seating arrangements for the dinner. Two identical custom made lecterns were used, one was on the floor next to the stage for the master of the ceremonies and the other was on the stage for the speeches. Two teleprompter screens were placed on either side of the lectern and allowed the speakers to read their speeches and engaging with the audience simultaneously. The stage was big enough to accommodate the  lectern, a four piece band and the award recipients.

We used profile spot lights to light the lecterns, led par cans for uplighters and truss toners, four moving head lights on truss totems and eight Mac 101 lights on stage. All the light fixtures and dimmers were controlled with a computer running Martin Light Jockey.

We supplied a four speaker P.A with gooseneck microphones on the lecterns. Front projection was done on two 10 x 7 foot screens and we used a 42” plasma as a confidence monitor. All the presentations, videos, teleprompter queues and a/v switching was done from the control point at the back.

After the event we reset the room for the conference and team building that followed the next day.
